Welcome to Nant BH


Nant Bwlch yr Haearn is part of the North East Wales Outdoor Education Service.  We provide our services primarily to schools, colleges, Youth and Leisure Services from Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham, as well as working with other organisations within the four counties.

Located high in the heart of the Gwydir forest, near Llanrwst, within the impressive scenery of Snowdonia National Park, we are ideally positioned to access forests, lakes, rivers and mountains for a range of exciting activities including gorge walking, climbing, orienteering, mountain biking and canoeing.  Forest wildlife and relics of the industrial mining past add another dimension to any visit.

Courses

We run a wide range of residential, day and outreach courses – from outdoor and environmental courses for young people through to National Governing Body awards (e.g. Mountain Leader) and team-building courses for adults.

The Centre provides a comfortable base for 30 pupils and 4 staff on a residential course, or up to a full class for a day visit.  

Safety first

The centre is approved to run activities by the Adventure Activities Licensing Service (AALS) and has an excellent safety record.  Our AALS reference number is R0102, and license number L4707.

Quality outdoor education

All of our courses are delivered by highly qualified and experienced outdoor educators.  Whatever the course, we are confident that you and your group will have an inspiring, educational and rewarding experience…you’ll also have a lot of fun!
